RENOVATION – BALCATTA
A remarkable transformation - Just wait until you see the before photos!
This Project was completed on an older style family home in Balcatta. The client bought the property from her farther who had lived in the property from new.
It was a tired double brick home with a tiled roof that was starting to sag, had asbestos eaves, an old carport and lots of small boxy rooms.
The brief was to complete a major renovation and bring a modern feel, with open plan living to the now tired home.
The existing carport was removed, a pool was installed, new alfresco built, new carport/garage and a modern front elevation added which included a large portico.
The existing living, dining and kitchen were knocked through into one, with a large set of stacking doors added to let light in as well as giving a view out to the pool area and access to the new alfresco. New ceilings were installed and feature bulkheads added, and the front room which had a sunken lounge and an old brick bar was converted into the master bedroom with a stunning new ensuite. The old tiles and asbestos eaves were stripped from the roof and bowed rafters were cut out and replaced with a new colourbond tin roof added.
To finish off, landscaping was completed which consisted of paving around the pool, exposed aggregate driveway and carport, walls were built around the front yard and new turf added.
